Who am I

About Me

Dr. Jenna C. Lester is a graduate of Harvard College and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed her dermatology residency at UCSF where she is now on faculty as an Associate Professor and the founding Director of the Skin of Color Program. Dr. Lester focuses on defining and addressing health disparities in clinical care, education, and research. She is a celebrated clinician and teacher.

Dr. Lester’s work has been featured in the NY Times, NPR, CNN.com, and many other news outlets nationwide. She has made numerous appearances on TV including CBS morning and NBC news Bay Area. Dr. Lester is a TED Fellow and her TED talk on disparities in dermatology has been viewed over 1.6 million times.
